It feels great to type this, we’re back!

It’s been a long winter and an even longer pandemic, we think that goes without saying.
Although fear not because SOS brings good tithings and news today!

Per the announcement of Governor Hogan and Jan Gardner pertaining to the COVID-19 case reductions, as well as the extension of the Frederick County alcohol serving hours, the SOS Safe Ride program is now officially cleared and safe to return to the streets of Frederick County; effective immediately!

As of this evening, Friday 2/26/2021, we will once again be open and operating for rides and safe driving, adopting our previous temporary abbreviated hours of Friday/Saturday, 9:30pm – 12:30am (last call).
As the restrictions on the bars/restaurants begin to slowly but surely loosen, we will be gradually adjusting these hours to fit with the hours and capacity of these establishments accordingly.

During the past year, SOS has unfortunately been one of the organizations that received the “short stick” when it came to COVID restrictions, and it certainly hasn’t been fun to weather this storm of certainty. However, we took an incredible amount of solace in knowing that we are not alone, as we have been very fortunate this past year to see and more importantly keep an overwhelming amount of support from our donors, sponsors, members, and community.

We say this a lot, because we mean it…
Thank you all, because we would not have survived this pandemic without you.

We are open tonight from 9:30pm to 12:30am, and we are so very excited to see all of you again in the coming weeks! We’ve missed you.

With Love as Always
