We, The Safe Ride Foundation, creators of SOS Safe Ride of Frederick, are pleased to announce our newest Frederick County transportation initiative, The Rides For Good Program!
For many parts of Frederick County, particularly the rural areas, lack of transportation presents a huge problem when trying to access essential human services. Be they doctor’s appointments, job interviews, pharmacy visits, or even grocery shopping, the fact is that Frederick County’s public transportation system, while growing, still suffers from significant gaps that leave many families in need.
To help fill that gap, is the Rides For Good program, we create good in the community through a network of trained volunteers who lend their time and vehicle to help our Frederick County neighbors in need.
The program is set to launch on February 1st, 2024, and with the help of amazing local partners like United Way of Frederick County, Maryland, Transit Services of Frederick County, and of course Frederick County Government, MD …. we aim to be more than just a ride, help to solve a county-wide problem, and to see just how much GOOD that Frederick can do.
Sign up to be a volunteer, or register to be a passenger!
Rides For Good launches on February 1st; be an impactful part of your neighborhood, and help to do GOOD!
