Excited is not even the word today, we are ecstatic, grateful, accomplished, and so full of emotion…..

Today we are proud to announce what may be one of our greatest achievements as of yet. The Safe Ride Foundation, otherwise known as SOS Safe Ride, is now the recipient of the second ever “Social Entrepreneur Grant” courtesy of the local renowned Ausherman Family Foundation!

This $25,000 grant and partnership is something that we at Safe Ride have been waiting for the day that we would be able to announce and be proud of. Something we’ve worked ridiculous hard for over the better part of the last year to achieve, and with that said we really have to start by thanking our team for all of their perseverance, hair pulling out, determination, and willingness to learn and grow, we truly couldn’t have achieved this without you. We mean it.

But that’s not all…. because there’s another thanks in order. To you. Our supporters, our donors, our sponsors, our customers, and our biggest fans. Without you, all the love and support, the reviews, the donations, the shoutouts, the media coverage, and of course your decision to NOT drink and drive, we were able to effortlessly show this community what we were capable of, and how great of an asset that this organization will prove to be to Frederick County and parts beyond for years to come.

In this life, it’s a bit of a catch-22 at times. When you start an organization you sometimes have this looming feeling of “Well, we can’t get the necessary support without any results, but we can’t get those results without the support”. There are a lot of things and factors that seem like they are out of your control…because sometimes they are. However none of that matters, because in the end, the only thing that does matter, just so happens to the one thing in life that you actually CAN control….and that’s Effort. So thank you once again to our staff, our volunteers, and to our supporters, for ALL of your effort!

We immensely appreciate the Ausherman Family Foundation for their generous contribution, and humbly accept the responsibility that comes with it, as we do with any support we receive.

How fitting that this would happen during the holiday season, as we are already full of joy, and this adds a great sense of accomplishment and gratitude to our season during this momentousness time of year.

Thank you again, and Happy Holidays from SOS Safe Ride!
